My son’s face lit up like a candle.
This was a habit for life. What we call one trial learning.
He was going to pet EVERY dog from now on.
The instant habit was so ingrained that we had to be careful which dogs he approached.
In fact, a friend of mine’s son got bitten by a dog when he was tiny.
This created another instant habit. Fear and avoidance at all costs.
Don’t listen to anyone telling you that a habit takes 7 days to form. Or 30 days. Or any other tish-tosh number.
Fact is if you have a passion and a mission, you can form an instant habit.
On the other hand. If you dislike something or it bores you to sobs, then you’ll never build a solid, permanent habit. Trying is torture.
Just chase your passions and your mission and you’ll be fine.
You’ll always find a way to do what needs to be done
