Does the universe really have your back?

When I was 10 or 11, I walked out in front of a bus and was hit by a car.

Hard enough to give me a real clout on the head. Which was hard enough to give me concussion. Hence, I can’t exactly remember whether I was 10 or 11.

But I know the universe had my back.

She was my teacher.

And the lesson was “Focus on what’s important.”

On that occasion that meant “focus on getting safely to the other side of the road”.

Did I learn the lesson?

Of course not.

The universe will keep teaching us the same lesson again, and again. Maybe for thousands of years, who knows.

Until we get it.

Then she moves us on to the next lesson. Just like a video game (I guess, although I don’t play them but that seems to be how they work? One level then a next level?)

Eventually, decades later, I was able to say to the universe…

“Thanks I’ve got it. Focus! That’s it. Yes I promoise, I’ve DEFINITELY got it this time”

And it’s a big lesson for the original ADD kid.

Maybe all us ADD’ers and creative thinkers are being given that same lesson about focusing on what’s important? Who knows.

Anyway…

What bad things have happened? What challenges have you faced? And most importantly, what’s the pattern…her lesson?

The universe has your back.
