I remember as a kid, you knew that a watch or clock was awesome if it was “Swiss Made”
Swiss stood for quality, accuracy and expensive.
If you watched Carl Lewis winning the 100m sprint on TV, you could only trust the clock if it said “Swiss Timing” in the left hand corner of the screen.
If it was “anything else timing” then you probably couldn’t trust it.
Anyway, I believe our minds are pretty much the same.
You want your thoughts, beliefs and internal habits to be so finely tuned and precise in their processes that they could be labelled “Swiss Made”
So, how can you test whether you already have this?
Well the key for me is to be aware of what’s happening in the background.
Not introspecting consciously in the moment. But doing it shortly after the event.
For instance when I’m drinking a cup of tea in the morning (like I am right now) I might reflect on how many different things I’ve been automatically grateful for since I first awoke.
And I’ll list them.
If it’s less than 5 or 10, it occurs to me that my mental timepiece needs winding up or adjusting.
Without forcing things or trying to control them, you can be aware of how your mindset is working.
And then you can adjust it.
You’ll know when you’re REALLY making progress because when you close your eyes and visualize your mindset, it will have the words “Swiss Made” in the top left hand corner.
