I said “Be careful or you’ll run out of batteries”
Which made her laugh even more.
Measuring energy can abstract.
But we know it’s a real thing.
How much energy will it take to turn a frown upside down?
How much energy will it take to change the world?
And are the two things really that different?

For instance, a small battery that will keep a smoke alarm running weighs only an ounce or so.
But a Tesla needs 1,200 lbs of batteries. (7 or 8 human beings in weight)
Sure, the fast car is very impressive. But the smoke alarm has the power to save the lives of a family.
So “How much energy will it take?” is only the follow up question.
First, you must answer the primary question…
“What do I want to achieve or change here?”
Because then you simply need to get yourself a big enough battery to make it happen.
And power sources are everywhere.
